Wow

I have a little motto. Well, maybe it's not a motto, exactly, but it's something I tell myself a lot. You want something, you want to tell someone something, you have a goal someone could really help you with, or you just want to play Overwatch with your favorite streamer: the very least you could do is ask, and the very worst that can happen is they say "no."

A "no" can hurt, definitely. You get your hopes up and sometimes they get let down. But the way I see it is this: If you don't ask, you can never know what may have happened if you did. If you don't go back and try and rescue your idiot friend hanging on a hook when the killer is camping and both gates are open, you didn't really try your hardest, now did you?

Life is more exciting and fulfilling when you don't shut yourself down with pessimism. And even though I felt, for some reason, that it was awkward of me to ask you to help my family in a time of need, I asked. And you responded with incredible and humbling force. Yes, we want to help! Your family is our family. Anything I can do, even if I can't give much. You blew me away and I will never forget that. I can't wait to give five thousand dollars to my grandmother tomorrow and see the look on her face.

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I don't think anything I do on Twitch from this day forward will touch what you have been able to do for me and my family in the last two days. You are the stars, and you shine so so brightly. I am beyond lucky to have you all in my life.
